Jack first discovered MICTED during his freshman year and quickly realized that Diesel Technology was the path he wanted to explore. Now in Year Two, he's taking his skills to the next level. "In year one, it was really just going over how the basics work and figuring out if you actually truly like this as your career choice. Year two, we're really diving into the bigger stuff."
That bigger stuff includes rebuilding engines, rebuilding transmissions, and working on braking systems for diesel trucks. And Jack already has his sights set on the future. He's considering joining the U.S. Marine Corps and putting his diesel technology skills to work as a military diesel technician.
His interest in mechanics comes from a car-collecting family and enjoys working on vehicles in his free time. He's also a member of the Prescott High School mountain biking team!
Jack's advice for students considering MICTED? "You're going to learn a lot very quickly, and it's a big step up from high school classes, but it's very well worth it. I would highly recommend taking these classes to get a great step forward in your career and your life."
