This is just one of the steps in applying for a Mountain Institute program. Before you start, new students must complete the Yavapai College New Student Application. (Returning students and students who have taken YC courses before can skip this step.) Write down your Y Number, Login Name, and Password—you’ll need your Y Number to fill out this form. After you submit this application, you need to:
IF YOU ARE A NEW STUDENT ONLY - Have A Parent or Guardian Fill Out the Parent ApplicationYour parent/guardian has two weeks to complete the required Parent Application. You cannot be accepted into a program until this is done. They will receive the application by email to the address you provide in this application. If you require a paper application, please ask your High School CTE Director, or reach out to our Student Services Team at (928)771-0791 or [email protected].
Tell your High School CounselorIf you haven't already, let your counselor know you applied so they can make sure the program fits your schedule and approve you to attend.
Attend Welcome DayMountain Institute will host a required program specific Welcome Day for new students in August. Students will get to tour their campus, meet staff and instructors, and check out any supplies or textbooks that they need. The Welcome Day schedule will be included in your confirmation email after submitting this application.
