BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

PROGRAM SUMMARY
In the Behavioral Health Technician certificate program, students will learn to be part of a clinical team that provides
critical support services to clients who are receiving drug rehab, substance abuse or mental health treatment in a variety of treatment settings. The program will provide students with a foundational study of human behavior and prepare them to assist, as part of a clinical team, in the care of individuals and families dealing with mental illness, co-morbid medical conditions, and challenges that may be related to substance use/addiction and trauma histories. The program includes courses designed to provide students with the skills necessary to deliver essential behavioral health and social services.
