Sean teaches computer networking and cybersecurity, including intro courses and preparation for CompTIA A+ and Security+ industry certifications. His journey with MICTED began years ago, when he was still a student, as the program was then known as JTED. He completed both the computer networking and aviation programs, which helped launch his early college career back in 2014–2016!
Growing up with a dad who served as the county IT director, Sean developed a love for technology early - building computers, gaming, and always asking, “How does this all work?” He originally dreamed of being a history teacher, and after gaining industry experience, he now gets to combine both passions: teaching and technology.
Sean currently teaches students across online, hybrid, and in-person formats, and would love to see more high school students join his MICTED program.
His favorite part of teaching?
Seeing students have that breakthrough moment when everything clicks.
Advice to future students:
“Start early with CTE - it builds a strong foundation, prepares you for college-level rigor, and creates memories and skills that last, even if your path changes along the way.”
Outside the classroom, Sean enjoys PC gaming and working on his family homestead with his wife and two young children - complete with a greenhouse, pigs, and chickens.
