EDUCATION PROFESSIONS
The program focuses on creating developmentally appropriate learning activities that support student outcomes and examining how teaching styles and learning styles interact in the classroom. Students also explore multicultural education, equity, and the evolving role of schools in supporting diverse learners, including exceptional children and youth. Through these experiences, students analyze the influence of family, community, and culture on child development and learn how to use technology to support effective and efficient teaching practices.
• Progress toward Yavapai College's Associate of Arts in Elementary Education Degree
• Yavapai College credits are earned after completing the semester with a passing grade (C or better).
• HS credits will be awarded at the end of each semester
• Up to 9 High School credits, and 36 Yavapai College credits will be awarded upon successful program completion.
