Class Must Go On!
Despite campus being closed due to weather, both instructors and students showed remarkable flexibility by quickly transitioning to Google Meet classrooms. What could have been a setback instead became an opportunity for growth, as the class remained fully engaged in an interactive and meaningful patient education scenarios lesson. This moment highlights not only the commitment of our students to their education, but also the dedication and adaptability of our instructors who continue to create impactful learning experiences regardless of the circumstances.
Communication Skills
Our first year Medical Assisting students are learning how different methods of communication (verbal, nonverbal, written, and visual) can impact the process of taking patient vitals. Students had to vital 3 "Special Communication Needs" patients: Blind, Deaf, and Nonverbal. These images are of them working with their Deaf patient.
